Hône Route of the gorges

The Hône gorges route can be done either as a loop or linear route for a length of 1.2 km.

The path, however, also has another name the Goye, but why?
The word goye comes from the Aosta Valley dialect, and indicates the pools created by the flow of a river.
In fact, the natural beauty that characterizes the gorges are the powerful waterfalls that fall fearlessly, and that is why we also call it the path of the gorges.

To enjoy the three goyas and their waterfalls, start from the town hall square, cross the Ayasse stream to a hairpin bend on the road on the opposite side where there is a panel indicating access to the gorges.

The first one you encounter is the Goille de Valieta.
The second is the Goille de la Teua, where it is possible to walk down to the bank of the stream and walk on the smooth rock of the gorge, which is characterized by quartz streaks and is mined.
The last is the Goille dou Breh, where the stream plunges headlong creating the gorge, which can be crossed from here.
