Frassiney to Verrogne Rhemes Saint Georges

Rhêmes-Saint-Georges Frassiney – Vérogne

Among the unspoiled nature

Are you looking for a peaceful hike that combines unspoiled nature, wildlife encounters and breathtaking views? The trail leading to the village of Vérogne, located in the vicinity of Rhêmes-Notre-Dame, might be the perfect itinerary for you. Not only does this trail offer the chance to immerse yourself in the flora and fauna of the Gran Paradiso National Park, but it also ends in a beautiful little-known rural corner, providing unique views of Mont Fallère. Starting Point and Route
The trail begins not far from the junction for the hamlet of Frassiney, on the left side of regional road No. 24 that climbs to Rhêmes-Notre-Dame. After crossing a small bridge, the path immediately enters a dense atetaia, a perfect environment for those who wish to listen to the sounds of the forest and, with a little luck, spot the park’s inhabitants. Flora and Fauna Along the Trail
The walk is especially recommended for nature lovers. The trail winds through a forest rich in plant varieties typical of the protected areas of Gran Paradiso. It is not uncommon to encounter deer, chamois or, if you are particularly lucky, even some ibex along the way. Arrival at Vérogne
After a pleasant trek through the forest, you arrive at the village of Vérogne. This small settlement offers a quiet break before returning, and from the village you can enjoy a magnificent view of Mont Fallère. Vérogne represents a charming example of an alpine village that has maintained its authenticity and simplicity over time.
