The reflection of alpine beauty
To reach the beautiful mountain lake at the foot of Col Arbolle, there are two ways.
The shortest, easiest and affordable is only 15 min long thanks to the easy chairlift connection.
In fact, once you arrive in Pila from Aosta by gondola (about 20 minutes), you descend to the left to reach the Chamolé chairlift that takes you comfortably to an altitude of 2303 meters.
As soon as you get off the chairlift, Trail 19c (excellently marked) begins in front of you to reach Lake Chamolé, a body of water enclosed in a green basin with an excellent view of the Aosta Valley peaks.
The other route is longer as you do not use the chairlift to ascend.
From the arrival of the gondola in Pila at the Bar Ristorante lo Yeti you go toward San Grato.
From here you follow the signs throughout the forest to Lake Chamolé, encountering, in between, two alpine pastures, magnificent alpine meadows and enchanting views of the valley below.
