Quart the castle of Quart
The castle of historical secrets
The castle stands majestically as a set of buildings, arranged on a rocky crag, surrounded by a fortified enclosure.
The keep, positioned on the summit, the functional structure of the buildings, the chapel, and the winding inner path testify to its Germanic or primitive origin.
Historical traces date back to the 12th century (about 1185).
Passed to the Savoys in 1377 after the death of Henry of Quart, the castle changed hands several times until it became the property of the municipality of Quart in 1800, donated by the Perrone family of San Martino.
