Oyace Oyace – Rey Excursion

The exciting hike from Oyace to Rey represents stage No. 12 of Alta Via 1.
It offers a challenging but extraordinary journey through a variety of unique landscapes and views.

Starting from the center of Oyace, you descend along a paved road through the village to the sports area and then to the village of Boévoz.
From here, the trail climbs up through meadows and sparse woods until it reaches the charming village of Brenvette.

The trail offers spectacular views as you climb the last steep slope leading to the Brison Pass.
A rather sustained descent through pastures and scree leads to a scenic area where the long traverse halfway up the hillside to the Upper Berrio pasture begins.

From there, the trail follows a dirt road, offering a pleasant descent through pastures and woods until it reaches the picturesque village of Ollomont, then reaches the hamlet of Rey after a short climb along a paved road.
