The Route: From Runaz to Lolair and Back Departure from Runaz The adventure begins in Runaz, a hamlet in the municipality of Avise, easily reached from the highway to Courmayeur.
Here, a large parking lot welcomes hikers, who are ready to immerse themselves in nature by following the signs for Trail 20A toward Baulin, via Monte Colombo.
The Balcony Trail and the Descent Continuing on Trail 20A, one begins the descent on the opposite side, via a route that offers unique panoramic views of Valgrisenche.
Passing the abandoned houses of Milliery, you reach the charming Baise Pierre area with its small church and information panels about the Lolair Reserve.
The Lolair Nature Reserve The heart of the hike is a visit to the Lolair Nature Reserve, where Trail 20 leads hikers through the protected area to the picturesque Lolair Lake (1184 m).
This section offers a unique opportunity to observe the local flora and fauna up close, in an environment of rare peace and beauty.
Return to Runaz The last section of the hike follows trail No. 20, which alternates between dirt roads and wooded paths, offering new views of the Mont Blanc range.
The trail finally closes at Runaz, where the loop hike finds its conclusion.
