The Classic Génépy at Emy’s
The Génépy is the typical Aosta Valleyliqueur , fragrant and flavorful: it tastes exactly like the Alps, which is why it is so well known and appreciated by the people of Valle d’Aosta.This liqueur is a base of alcohol e Dried inflorescences of the seedling of the same name, a grass that grows in the mountains at very high altitudes.
You can find it here in the classical, obtained from the maceration seedlings of in alcohol.

Water, alcohol, sugar, dried inflorescences of Artemisia Umbelliformis

The White Génépy at Emy’s
This version is obtained through a different process from that used in the production of classic liqueur.
To obtain the so-called Génépy white it is necessary to go through self-distillation and not maceration of aromatic seedlings:
Le inflorescences of Artemisia Umbelliformis are wrapped in a cloth and simply left suspended Above the bottle containing the alcohol that, after about 60 days, it will take on the aromas of the dried seedlings and consequently change in taste.
