The Story of Da Emy: From Passion for Génépy to the Revolution of Sustainable Cultivation In 2001, Da Emy's adventure began when Emilia, inspired by an ad in L'Informatore Agricolo of the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta, embarked on the experimental cultivation of Artemisia Umbelliformis.
Fascinated by the idea of working the land and driven by unbridled enthusiasm, we, Emilia and my daughter Ambra, embraced this new challenge.
Our journey began with only two hundred seedlings, and already in the following year, we expanded our production to ten thousand seedlings.
Innovation in the Genepy Market Our revolutionary idea of selling seedlings directly to customers, providing them with the recipe to make their own Genepy at home, transformed the way consumers interacted with this traditional product.
After seventeen years of dedication in the fields and in the marketing of DIY Genepy, we noticed a growing affection and loyalty in our customers, who began to request finished products.
Expansion and Diversification of Product Portfolio In 2018, as Amber joined the company, we expanded our activities from growing and selling dried seedlings to introducing processed products.
Today, we offer a variety of liqueurs, including Classic and White Genepy, Kummel and Arquebuse, following traditional recipes handed down from our grandparents.
We have also enriched our offerings with confectionary delights such as meringues, cookies and chocolate enriched with the seeds of the genepy plant.
