Brusson Alpe Salomon
A natural wonder
The route from Extrepieraz, a hamlet of Brusson in the Aosta Valley, to Alpe Salomon is a very easy walk that does not require a full day, but simply a few hours.
The walk takes place in the Val d’Ayas, one of the most beautiful valleys in the entire region, which, with its many trails and natural landscapes, lends itself as an ideal destination for those who love hiking.
How to get to Alpe Salomon The walk alternates between a paved road and a narrower path that enters the forest.
The starting hamlet is that of Extrepieraz, located at 1,390 meters above sea level. From here, we set out for the first part of the trail.
Trail 2 to Salomon is taken where there are signs on yellow poles, which indicate the walking time and destination to be reached.
The first section is paved, but then you enter the forest and the trail turns into a comfortable mountain path.
You then leave the forest and reach Alpe Court, at 1,604 m.a.s.l. Past the alpine pasture, continue on the mule track that climbs to a clearing.
It will be here that you can catch a glimpse of the Salomon dwellings and, a little further on, the Col de Joux.
