Pollein Arboreal Park and the Rock Garden
For plant lovers
The modern multi-purpose center at the Grand Place is surrounded on three sides by an enchanting arboreal park set up in 1994, which is home to a variety of shrubs and trees, including two specimens of Ginkgo Biloba, a unique surviving “living fossil” from the Mesozoic.
Since 1998, the park has featured a series of boulders representative of the main rock types of the Aosta Valley, arranged in geological and geographical sequence.
Following this path, we travel up the Dora Baltea valley from the Ivrea Moraine Amphitheater to Mont Blanc, crossing the geological systems of the Alpine arc.
