How to get to the Champillon refuge by car To reach the refuge by car, you can follow these directions: Exit the Aosta East highway and follow the green signs for the Great St. Bernard Tunnel.
Shortly after, you will meet the entrance to State Road 27.
Exit the tunnel and take the detour to the right, signposted for Valpelline and Place Moulin Dam.
Drive through the village of Variney and, having reached the public weighbridge on the left, take the road going up towards Doues.
Continue until you reach the large clearing of Plan Dètruit, where it will be possible to leave the car and proceed on foot for about an hour to the refuge.
How to get to the Champillon hut by public transportation The nearest train station is in Aosta.
Opposite the train station is the bus station, from which bus services to Doues run about 6 times daily, excluding Sundays.
