Champdepraz Horned Lake

Lake Cornu or Cornuto is located within the Mont Avic Nature Park at 2,168 m above sea level a short distance from Lake Blanc and Lake Noir and also from the Barbustel refuge from which it is 5-10 minutes away.
It is possible to reach this magnificent alpine lake even if the hike is very long.
The path, in fact, starts from the Alleigne or Legna Valley and descends into the upper part of the Manda valley with all its lakes.
The trail is almost entirely within a large coniferous forest and then crosses over open slopes and enters the upper part of the Manda basin.
Horned Lake, just before the ridge, is a little gem set among the rocks.
