This circular route is ideal for nature lovers and medium hikes.
Starting Point The hike begins just before the hamlet of Surier, where you leave your car at a branch off to the right of the road that runs high on the left bank of Lake Beauregard.
From here, you take the dirt road that leads to the Reveira Basse Alps.
Ascent Route Trail no.
14, well marked, starts from the Reveira Basse Alps.
After a short bifurcation, keep to the right, leaving out the path leading to the Col du Mont.
The trail gradually climbs until it reaches a flat area and then becomes steeper, leading up to a small chapel and finally to Lake San Grato.
Descent and Circular Route After enjoying the tranquility of the lake, the return is made by following trail markers 14A and 14B.
This section of the route offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and passes through varied terrain, including some steep slopes.
The trail descends to the Ravera Alta alpine pasture, and instead of continuing on 14B which leads to Bonne, trail 14A will guide you along steep slopes until it rejoins the Bonne-Uselliers road.
