How to Reach the Shrine
The shrine is easily accessible by car. From Saint-Marcel, follow the signs to the Plout shrine and picnic area. You can park at the hamlet of Troil/Moulin, where there is a public parking lot a few meters from the right fork. From here, take the small road that climbs to the right and, shortly after, you will find signs for trails 11B and 11C. The Sled Trail
Follow Trail 11C, also known as the “Sled Trail.” This trail is known for its historic posts, part of a project called “Patrimoines en chemin,” which aimed to preserve and enhance the cultural heritage of the area. The trail is wide and climbs gradually through the forest, offering panoramic views of the central valley. In less than an hour, you will arrive at the picturesque village of Plout. The Plout Shrine
Arriving at the shrine, you can appreciate the architecture that dates back to 1853, the year of significant enlargement and restoration. The interior of the shrine is a treasure trove of devotion, with hundreds of gifts and votive offerings left by pilgrims over the years. The statue of Our Lady, found here in the 14th century, is still the focus of veneration today. What to Do
