Valsavarenche nivolet lakes
A lake of glacial origin
Lake Serrù (2275 m) and Lake Agnel (2300 m) are the two marvelous lakes of Nivolet that are the protagonists of the panorama that opens up from the Col of the same name.
They are two enchanting lakes of glacial origin, later expanded by man with the construction of large dams, immersed in the relaxing nature of the Gran Paradiso National Park.
An enchanting contrast is created between Their intense blue color and the green of the meadows or the white of the snow-capped peaks.
How to get to the Nivolet Lakes The starting point for this impressive hike is the Nivolet Pass, easily reached by car from Ceresole Reale.
Along a well-marked, level path suitable for everyone, you can enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, including Ciarforon, Becca di Monciair and Gran Paradiso.
The walk lasts about an hour and a half and ends at the Savoie Refuge, where you will have the opportunity to take a pleasant refreshing break or even stay overnight.
