Valtournenche refuge perucca vuillermoz
Spectacular views and adventurous trails.
The hamlet of Perrères, located in the municipality of Valtournenche and only 4 km from Breuil-Cervinia, offers a hike full of varied and fascinating landscapes, ideal for mountain and nature lovers. Starting from the Perrères parking lot, the itinerary follows trails No. 35 and/or No. 107 through a route that winds in long diagonals, taking hikers from the locality of Grillon to the Colle Finestra di Cignana. The Route
After reaching the Colle Finestra di Cignana, the trail continues downhill along the slope until it meets the dirt road coming from the Cignana Dam. Follow the dirt road to the right for about 250 meters to reach the area near the Cignana Alp, where the entrance to Trail No. 35 is located. This section of the trail, which has some challenging passages, climbs up to Bivacco Manenti, positioned on the idyllic shores of Lake Balanselmo. Towards the Perucca-Vuillermoz Refuge
Continuing along the trail, the route gains elevation until it reaches the Perucca-Vuillermoz Refuge, located in a spectacular position on the shores of Mont Dragon Lake. This refuge is known to be an essential support point for hikers and climbers, offering shelter and a warm welcome in one of the most remote and spectacular corners of Valtournenche. What to Expect
Along the way, hikers can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and, with luck, spot local wildlife, which includes ibex and chamois. Alpine lakes along the way offer picturesque scenery ideal for relaxing stops and photo sessions. Helpful Tips
