Another little gem not to be missed near Saint Pierre is the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences ”Efisio Noussan.”
The Regional Museum of Natural Sciences ” located inside the Castle of Saint-Pierre, originates from the Museum of Natural History founded in 1905 by the Société de la Flore Valdôtaine with the aim of enhancing botanical, faunal and mineralogical collections concerning the Valdostan territory The museum takes its official name of Regional Museum of Natural Sciences Efisio Noussan, in memory of its founder.
To visit this museum is to take a real journey into the ecosystems of the Aosta Valley.
In fact, inside we find several interactive stations where we can observe news, maps, curiosities, images on glaciers, climate, and geology.

The museum not only takes care of the preservation and ‘exhibition of artifacts, but also carries out activities of dissemination and scientific research, carried out mainly in its operational headquarters in La Salle, with the help of modern biotechnology to support the conservation of biodiversity.
