Courmayeur SKYWAY
The cable car a stone's throw from the sky
Skyway Monte Bianco is a technological and engineering marvel, an Italian pride to be discovered.
Opened in 2015, this cable car system connects the Aosta Valley to the highest peak in the Alps, Punta Helbronner, at 3,466 meters above sea level, allowing everyone to experience a breathtaking vertical ascent.
The route begins in Courmayeur, at an elevation of 1,300 meters, where the first station, Courmayeur/The Valley, offers amenities such as a breakfast or quick lunch bar, parking, and luggage storage.
You can purchase your ticket locally or online.
Continuing on to the next station, Pavillon / The Mountain at 2,173 meters, you’ll find yourself surrounded by breathtaking views and have access to dining areas, an alpine cinema, and interesting attractions such as the Cave Mont Blanc, where you can learn about winemaking at high altitude.
Finally, you will reach Punta Helbronner / The Sky, the highest point in Italy.
From here, the circular “360° Observatory” terrace will give you a unique panoramic view of the Western Alps, including Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, and the Matterhorn.
