Pont-Saint-Martin The Roman Bridge Museum
A Museum Rich in History
The Roman Bridge Museum in Pont-Saint-Martin is dedicated to the majestic bridge built by the Romans in the 1st century BC. Its wide arch makes it unique in Europe.
It offers a series of photographs, drawings and documents that reveal the secrets of the “Devil’s Bridge”: materials used, construction technique, legends about it, the 19th-century restoration and the danger during the 1944 bombing.
The museum is the ideal starting point for a comprehensive tour of the village, presented in an engaging film projected in the small room.
