Pontboset the tour of the six bridges
One enchantment after another
Automobile Access
The journey begins in Hône, from where you take the road to Champorcher, passing the village of Pontboset. Here, on the left, is the road that descends to the village. It is possible to park the car near the “Chez Isabel” hotel. Itinerary on Foot
From the parking lot, enter the hamlet and take a small road on the right that descends to the Ayasse stream. Continue without crossing it, following a mule track to a bridge that will allow you to cross the stream and reach the hamlet of Frontière. After crossing Frontière, the trail becomes flat and then climbs to the long bridge over the Brenve stream. Here, you can enjoy the clear waters of the stream and its picturesque waterfalls. Return
Go back a few meters and take a steep path on the left that leads to a forest road, then to the paved road toward the village of Crest. Follow it downhill until you reach the road to Frontière, turn left and then right, crossing the bridge over the Manda. Descend slightly to reach the asphalt road, follow it and then veer right, crossing the impressive stone bridge over the Ayasse to return to the starting point. Conclusion of the Hike
Go up the asphalt road to the hairpin bend, turn left and cross the small bridge over the Ayasse. Immediately after the bridge, take the uphill path on the right that leads to the hamlet of Vareisa. Cross the Ayasse again and return to the orographic left of the stream, following the wide path and paved road back to the starting point. This hike is ideal for those who wish to immerse themselves in the tranquility of alpine landscapes, with a route that alternates between relaxing moments and more challenging sections, offering unforgettable views and direct contact with nature and local history.
