Etroubles Tour du Mont Fallère
An exciting circular itinerary
The Tour du Mont Fallère is an exciting circular route that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the main 4000-meter-plus peaks of the magnificent Great St. Bernard Valley.
The hike starts in Saint-Oyen or Étroubles, in the heart of the valley, and continues on to the Tza de Flassin mountain pasture.
From here, the trail continues through the Vertosan Pass and Col Fenêtre, offering magnificent views along the way, until reaching the Mont Fallère hut.
The second stage follows the southern slope of Mont Fallère, climbing to Col de Metz and Punta Chaligne, then descending to the Chaligne hut, where it is possible to spend the night.
The trail then continues in the direction of Étroubles, with an initially flat and then downhill section, ending in Saint-Oyen.
This exciting route, which can also be taken in the opposite direction, passes through the municipalities of Gignod, Aosta, Sarre, Saint-Pierre, Avise, Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses, Saint-Oyen and Étroubles.
