Hône The History
During the medieval period, Hône played a strategic role as the property of the lordship of Bard.
In contemporary times, however, Hône was one of the first centers of metallurgy in the Aosta Valley, reaching its peak development in the early 20th century with the establishment of the nail factory, which played a key role during World War I in the manufacture of soldiers' footwear.
